People Are Pitching A Fit Over This Crying Closet On A University Campus

If you've been through college, and remember finals week, you know it can be a trial by fire. Lack of sleep, pressure, and poor nutrition (college kids power themselves on candy) eventually takes its toll. Like this college student who literally ran into a window after showing up to the wrong classroom for her exam — and went viral for her less-than-stress-free experience.

That's why people are really intrigued by the introduction of a Cry Closet on the University of Utah campus. Yes, a literal box where students can take a break from the exam stressed and cry in private. Why didn't we think of this when we were in college? Although, there should be a cry box in every school in America.

It's just a small closet for crying inside of, as the name implies:

There are some rules and time limitations. Only one person per cry session, and you only get ten minutes:

There are some stuffed animals inside to keep you company though:

This seems perfect, but a few people are mad at all the young people who need to do things like experience emotions:

But the university is backing the closet:

As is everyone else. There are plenty of places to cry in adult life while in private, as a few people pointed out to the haters:

But the closet is not actually financed by the university. It was built by student and artist Nemo Miller. It's an art installation, and a joke:

People are super enthused about Miller's work, which they get is a joke. But like, a joke they really need in their lives right now:
