Riverdale
The teen drama Riverdale is based on the characters from the Archie Comics series, including Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Jughead Jones, and Veronica Lodge.
A slightly darker take on the comic books, the show follows Archie's slightly twisted life in Riverdale. In 2019, Luke Perry, who played Archie's dad Fred, passed away from a stroke. His character was killed off-screen by a speeding car while helping someone else who had a flat tire.
Riverdale has a shared universe with the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Katy Keene.
